Call for Testing: FWTS supports on ACPI 6.6

Ivan Hu tells us new features from ACPI 6.6 were added to FWTS 25.11.00 along with other bug fixes and improvements. Ivan requests users test “their ACPI 6.6 firmware with FWTS and report bugs or missing features”. A link to the source code, and details for downloading and testing are provided.

Chromium Armhf builds to be ended soon

Nathan Teodosio reminds us that Firefox builds on Armhf have been dropped, and warns us the same is happening for the Chromium snap too. We’re told the Armhf build of Chromium 144 failed due to Node v24 which isn’t published for ARMv7l, and with limited remaining users future builds will cease. A number of alternatives that still exist for Armhf are given.

“I would like to focus on something that seems oft-neglected or given lower priority; namely, how topics evolve over time, and how we as a community can keep discussions clear, useful, and easy to navigate long after the first post is written and published.” Rubi1200
